Terms of Service

Effective date: July 21, 2026  |  Last updated: July 21, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of good dog a11y checker (the "Software"), provided by George Joeckel ("we," "us," "our"). By using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software. These Terms should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which describes how the Software accesses and processes data.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Software. By using the Software, you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are using the Software on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates this section.

3. Account Registration

The Software operates within your existing Google™ account and does not require a separate account, username, or password. You are responsible for maintaining the security of the Google™ account you use to access the Software, in accordance with Google's™ own account terms.

4. Intellectual Property

The Software, including its name, logo, branding, design, and underlying code (excluding your own content processed through it), is owned by George Joeckel and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Software, or reverse engineer it, except as expressly permitted by us or by law.

You retain all rights to the content you process through the Software. We claim no ownership over it.

Good dog a11y checker is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google™. Google Docs™ is a trademark of Google LLC.

5. Disclaimers

Accessibility checking tools, including this one, may not identify every accessibility issue, and results should not be treated as a substitute for manual testing, expert review, or a formal conformance audit (e.g., WCAG conformance testing or VPAT/ACR development). We do not guarantee that use of the Software will result in compliance with any accessibility law, standard, or regulation.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and are not responsible for outages, bugs, or data loss arising from your use of the Software or from the Google™ environment it runs within.

6. Limitation of Liability

7. Pricing and Payment

The Software is currently provided free of charge. We do not currently charge fees, offer paid subscriptions, or process payments.

We reserve the right to introduce paid features, tiers, or subscriptions in the future. If we do, we will update these Terms in advance to disclose pricing, billing cycles, refund and cancellation policies, and applicable taxes before any such features go live.

8. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Software shall first be submitted to mediation through Utah Dispute Resolution before either party pursues any other remedy. If the dispute remains unresolved after 60 days of initiating mediation, either party may pursue other remedies. Any resulting litigation may be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Utah, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Software at any time, including for violations of Section 2. Upon termination, your right to use the Software ends immediately. Because the Software is free and does not involve a separate account or stored data on our end, termination has no billing or refund implications. Sections 4 (Intellectual Property), 5 (Disclaimers), 6 (Limitation of Liability), and 8 (Governing Law and Dispute Resolution) survive termination.

10. General Provisions

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of our right to do so later. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and George Joeckel regarding the Software and supersede any prior agreements on this subject.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be reflected by an updated "Last updated" date above.
